When I was young my 4th grade teacher took me under his wing and let me focus on a passion that has been mine always .From this came the practicality that I studied art and teaching . I worked in schools teaching art before helping to create the art dept. at Hornsby TAFE . I followed my dreams and moved to WA and taught and grew into the
When I was young my 4th grade teacher took me under his wing and let me focus on a passion that has been mine always .From this came the practicality that I studied art and teaching . I worked in schools teaching art before helping to create the art dept. at Hornsby TAFE . I followed my dreams and moved to WA and taught and grew into the WA art scene in the 1970s Winning the Wynne Prize in 1971 From there I continued to enter and win various prizes listed in my CV.

I use many different mediums, such as oils, acrylics, and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Although my pastel works have been a passion ,Conte washes and other media also .Oils are a great love as they can evolve and change and take a commitment to explore.

I enjoy the Australian landscape which is evident in my work I have traveled to many places that are away from most people's haunts and many of my pieces are directly influenced by the nature. I enjoy the Australian landscape which is evident in my work I have traveled to many places that are away from most people's haunts and many of my pieces are directly influenced by the nature. I love plants and wildlife and my general local environment my work reflects my travels and my calm and serene work spaces. My Work has a style that has grown with me and is distinct and should not be mistaken. Mythology is also a big part of my work .Influenced too by an Anglo- French upbringing fostered by my father while he was alive.
